    Wheelchair Creator,
    Arrow One Ltd.

Whenever Ms Kawabata approached me with her idea for wheelchair weddings, I felt delighted to have met a person who was making such a special thing happen. I feel happy and proud that our company can be involved in such a project.
If you have a physical disability, you so often feel a need to apologize to people around you, rather than simply thanking people for their efforts. Moreover, if you’re sitting in a wheelchair, you’re on a lower level than everyone you encounter. This can lead to be feelings of mental exhaustion, discomfort, loneliness, and frustration. Through these weddings, we are providing the opportunity to view the world from the same perspective as people who don’t use a chair. Having a wheelchair that the bride can control by herself enables her to start her wonderful new life feeling proud and confident. I’m filled with the desire to see these weddings grow in popularity.

    Flower Design

People always smile when they are around flowers. In seeing the colors and shapes of flowers, smelling their fragrance, and touching them, people sense the current season, and feel in tune with seasons of the past. We want your special day to stay on in everyone’s minds forever as a wonderful memory. To this end, we aim to draw on the power of flowers, and help give a splash of color to such a happy day.

    Flower Orange Jasmine

I believe flowers have a mysterious power. The sight of a delicate flower can make people smile, and the sight of a bright, lavish one can make their hearts sing. Flowers’ gentle fragrances heal both the mind and the body. It’s my wish to use this power in order to bring happiness to as many people as possible. I’ll do all I can to make sure that your special day becomes a page in your life to outshine all the rest.

    Faith Up Inc.

What can we do to build up relationships of trust with our customers and the people around us, and make them feel like they matter? This may sound a simple question, but it’s actually incredibly important. Thinking seriously about this question and putting the answer into practice with a smile is the essence of Faith Up’s training.

When Ms. Kawabata came to our company, which usually produces soft toys, and asked us to make wedding dresses for wheelchairs, we were won over by her passion. Through trial and error, we came upon a wedding dress that would make brides look absolutely fabulous. I hope with all my heart that this chair will bring smiles to the faces of many people in the future…

  • YOU

I was born in Japan in 1982 to Korean parents, with a cleft lip and palate. When I was 11, my parents took me to Osaka Castle Hall to see my first ever concert, and I decided then and there to take up the guitar. At the age of 14, I formed a band with other kids in my year, which we named ‘Okan.’ After 17 years of being together, we finally played a solo concert in Osaka Castle Hall. The dream of all those years had finally come true.
After that, we started playing gigs in other Asian countries. In the same year as playing Osaka Castle Hall, we also played the main stage at Taiwan’s largest music festival, Rock In Taichung Festival, with an audience of 100,000 people. Around that time, I also started my solo career alongside my work with Okan, in order to express the things that I wanted to express with my body alone.
The disabilities I was born with, and my genetic background are a part of my body. I carry them around with me all the time. I can pass on my feelings about the life I’ve experienced through that body by breaking them down into pieces and expressing them through my music. That way, I can get my message across to lots of people.
I’ve chosen to leave the scars from my cleft lip and palate visible on my face, in order to encourage and support children who are born with the same disability. I continue to get up and perform in the hope that, by doing my thing on stage just as I am, I can help ease the complexes and negative feelings people have toward their handicaps.
Okan’s first full album will be released by Space Shower Music towards the end of 2014.
